Christmas 2009

12/17/2009

Miss Emily,

It’s that special time of year again.  Wow, Christmas Day is almost here.  Just 8 more days…

It looks like you’ve been a busy gurl thus far this Christmas season!

A visit with Santa, Girl Scout fun, Christmas tree decorating, and I suspect shopping!  J

The pictures of you are a welcome sight to my eyes and heart.  The joy and excitement of the season shines through your eyes and the glow of your smile makes your d a d d y light up with joy as bright as a Christmas tree!

Please listen to the Christmas songs that I’m sharing here with you.  The songs are from Christmas albums your Mamaw Brendie had around when d a d d y was a kid.  I’ve had these songs in my music collection for a very long time.  You might recall we listened to them each Christmas when I lived in Bloomington.  As I listen to them this Christmas season I'll be thinking of you.

When you see your brother Patrick, ask him about his favorite Christmas song.  I know what it is, I’d like you to also know.  OK?

I’m already planning and preparing to spend Christmas 2010 with you.

As for Christmas 2009, Merry Christmas Emily Jane Williams!

I love you,

d a d d y

PS, Ruby’s favorite Christmas song is Frosty the Snowman.  She makes funny noises when she hears this song… makes your d a d belly laugh! !
