My employer Rackspace provided great support and accommodations for the 2009 MS150 Alamo Ride to the River event. Here are a few ‘Bringing It’ moments that stood out to me-
-
My Rackspace Cycling Jersey (my first ever official cycling jersey).
-
Load Up on Carbs Dinner the night before Day 1 also served as Meet and Greet.
-
Gear Truck awaiting us at starting point of event.
-
Rackspace sponsored Rest Stop 3; fluids, snacks and encouragement Racker style.
-
Support Tent at conclusion of Day 1; very tasty homemade BBQ’d meats and eats prepared onsite by Racker Chef , beverages of many sorts, team mates to make sure you were plugged into post Day 1 happenings, DirectTV w/ NCAA Football, and great fellowship.
-
Reduced cost Massage; another first for me, wonderful!
-
Shuttle service back/forth to New Braunfels.
A special thank you to George L., Ed G., and Drew R.; your experience, leadership and thoughtfulness are second to none. Y’all took great care of us and your efforts are very much appreciated.
And I must say my friend Dave and his new GT ‘roadie’ bike made for some interesting conversations at work leading up to the event and some fun training rides as well.
