first day of school - 2010

Miss Emily,

A pretty good picture of a couple sleepy heads…

You’re off and running now as 2nd grade student.   Enjoy your new classmates and teacher.

Word you wrote down during sign in - in response to question of the day was 'excited'.

Hugs and Kisses,

Happy Birthday

Emily recently celebrated her 7th birthday!  She chose to have a Build A Bear party.  She and her guests were treated to selecting an animal for stuffing, selecting an outfit, grooming; the whole Build A Bear experience bundled up in a group party!

It's amazing how quickly 7 years clip by.

I believe my gurl had a happy day!!

Goodtimes

My Mom and daughter Emily paid a visit to me from Indiana June 30th - July 6th.

  • Visit/tour of Rackspace.
  • Prior to an afternoon floatin down the Guadalupe River.
  • At the conclusion of the fun Emily and Mom had at the horse riding day camp I pass by almost daily while cycling 4 fitness.

Emily navigated Casper the Horse (albino) all by herself.

In summary, our time together was full of adventure, fun, and love.

July 4th Fun

Our 4th of July fun began in Seguin Texas with a small town parade.

Fireworks were viewed at Woodlawn Lake Park in San Antonio.

L@@k d a d d y no training wheels

Notice the training wheels prior to our first bike ride in my beloved Tobin Park.

Then take a peek at Emily riding with no training wheels. . .

@jackdwilliams Miss Emily and I cranked out a 6 mile Tobin Park ride together. The best 6 miles I've pedaled since living in Texas. #love

@jackdwilliams We also took the training wheels off! She's a champ & no real difficulty adjusting while I ran behind. I then stopped running, ta'daa! #fun

Miss Emily & the San Antonio Children's Museum

There's nothing like watching children having fun.  It's a tick or two better when it's your own child having a blast!!

It was delightful to watch Emily hone in on two of the many exhibits at the San Antonio Children's Museum.

  • HEB Kids Market
  • Powerball Hall

I overheard one boy state as he rushed through the aisles of the HEB Market, "I've got to find the ravioli"!

Emily stayed focused on fruits and veggies; when it came to the meat department, she chose seafood!!

During the Powerball Hall fun she elected to pick up dropped balls and feed them back into the system for drop after drop.

She brought so much energy to the task at hand.
