This morning The Cardinal paid a visit; reminding me that Hoosier roots run deep in the heart of a man calling Austin, TX home.
What do you see when you daydream about the future? Is everything much better than it is now, or are you still struggling with the same issues? Are you dreaming about what you really want or about what you think you want? Do you see the whole picture or just a piece of it? Do your daydreams match your goals?
Actions I take today affect how I live tomorrow. If I know what I want; if I listen to my heart's desire, write down my goals, and keep them in mind with every action I take -- I'll create dreams. I'll turn my wishes into goals and my goals into reality.

I've just rolled off the starting point of the 2011 LiveStrong Austin Challenge cycling event.
I'm riding today in support of LiveStrong and the powerful work they do to assist those impacted by cancer.
A special thank you to all the fine folks who donated on behalf of my ride; we raised $725!

Wow, I totally spaced out an important anniversary date. July 13th marked my 36 month of living in the state of Texas. A friend who took me in somewhat helped me label this part of my life; j a c k 2.0! I miss some things in my home town of Bloomington, IN; my kids, Mom and other family, the smell of Spring in the early morning hour, Fall foliage, and a handful of true blue friends. Prior to departing for Texas, my life had been turned upside down and inside out. Some would say I'd made a complete mess of things. Perhaps that's true; but I've fought like hell to regroup, reload, and respond to the calamity since arriving in Texas July 13th, 2008. I've told myself repeatedly that Texas is at minimum a 5 year plan.
Three down and two to go!
