Ruby ~ Hangin @ the crib
Ruby was adopted/purchased in March 2008. She rode shotgun as I made my way from Indiana to San Antonio, TX. She's a great gal, one I frequently belly laugh at as she runs through her corrupted vocabulary; I'm never sure what she'll pick up on next.
She's been getting down from her regular cage for a long while now, which creates big concern. I'm fearful she be down on the floor roaming around without me knowing. Me stepping on her or her getting a hold of a live wire leading to serious consequences has always been worrisome since she taught herself how to escape 'the cage'.
Ruby is now the proud owner of a new playstand. The beauty of this new stand is that she's going to struggle to escape to the ground! I'm going to be much more inclined to let her chill on the playstand while I'm hangin at the crib rather than 'baby sittin' her from getting down from her standard large bird cage.
Ruby is a Congo African Grey Parrot, born August 2003 in Norfolk Virginia.
She will outlive her 3rd owner if she stays off the ground!
