·     The Shack was written by a father with the targeted audience being his six children.  I know of no other gift as important as the understanding of relationship WM. Paul Young shares with his children throughout the pages of this fictional novel.

·     I wept repeatedly throughout my read of The Shack.  Sad tears, happy tears, joy filled tears, really really sad tears and finally unbelievable tears.  This book calls out the deep things within a man's heart.  I'm a better father, son, and person after reading The Shack!

·     The religious folk will not get this book.  They will work hard to discredit the creative loving work of the Creator. That's been their gig for a long while now.

·     Hard copies of The Shack will be provided to my 20 year old son Patrick and soon to be 7 year old daughter Emily.  I look forward to the conversations I will have with my children sometime in the future about The Shack.
